| "They
really are no different that the people that sing for the first
time and sing terribly," says Doc Thompson. "Everybody
wants to be a star. Everybody would like to have their moment
of fame."
Star performers
Raul Torres and Diane Dolphin say they came to karaoke for the
songs, but ended up staying for the romance.
"When we
are together up there, we don't think about the crowd, we are
focused on each other," says the couple.
Singing love
songs from the heart, Torres and Dolphin say it was the music
that took their relationship to the next level.
"We knew
each other before that singing and stuff," says Dolphin.
"And five years ago, to the date of that date, he finally
asked me to marry him. We are engaged. It took him five years
to get that brave."
Torres and Dolphin
say they plan to marry soon, and say they try to make it out to
Bill's Place every Sunday and Tuesday.
