LIVE INTERVIEW
BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION
(BBC LONDON)
December 17, 2002

Doc was interviewed on BBC London Channel 5, live talk radio, by Ros Atkins. The subject was regarding Doc’s perception of current Karaoke technology in the USA. The interviewer was particularly interested in new products that use synthesized music and how well these products might be accepted and/or used by Karaoke consumers.

Doc’s view was basically that this is not particularly new technology, however it is being applied in some

creative and unique ways. However, basic knowledge would seem to indicate that if technology progresses to the point that synthesized music sounds as good as music on DVD, an entire new generation of Karaoke hardware could emerge. Doc's best guess is that this will not come about in the foreseeable future.

Nonetheless, the current product will not catch on primarily due to the low grade sound generated by synthesized music. This is due to the inherent limitations in synthesized music.
